Application Process
- Fill the application form online on the official website.

Motor Mechanism & Driving Test cum Interview
(The candidates would be required to drive a motor vehicle as instructed by the instructor. Practical knowledge of the candidates about the vehicle and removal of minor defects/snags in the vehicle, its upkeep & maintenance, etc would also be tested) (There will be a minimum cut-off mark of 40% for the Tier-II exam) |

- Tier-II exam will be qualifying in nature. Candidates who have applied for the post of MTS/GEN must score 20 out of 50 and MTS/GEN needs to score 40% in the driving test.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Tier-I.
Exam Pattern
The Intelligence Bureau has uploaded the stages of the selection process in the official notification. It includes several stages which are given below:
- Stage-I - Merit List: The selection of the candidates will be based on the merit list published by the department.
- Stage-II - Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Candidates are advised to carry all documents to verify.
- Stage-III - Medical Examination: After the verification, the candidates will be called for a medical examination to check the fitness of the candidates.
