Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is about to announce vacancies for RRB Group D. The RRB Group D 2025 exam will be conducted for the recruitment of RRB Group D level workers for different zones in Indian Railways. Those candidates who are interested can fill out the application on official website for their desired zones. The RRB Group D exam application fee details are as follows:

General and OBC Candidates

  • Fee: ?500
  • Refund: ?400 refunded after appearing in the exam.

SC/ST, Women, EWS, Ex-servicemen, and PwBD Candidates

  • Fee: ?250
  • Refund: ?250 refunded after appearing in the exam.

Exam Notification

For RRB Group D 2025, RRB will announce total no. of vacancies soon for different posts on the official website.

Pay Scale: ?18,000 (Basic Pay) + Allowances (Gross: ?22,000–?25,000 approx.)

RRB Group D is a Group-D level post in Indian Railways.

Posts Available: Rack Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant, Assistant Pointsman, and other Level-1 positions.

Eligibility Criteria

For applying for RRB Group D 2025, candidates must meet the given eligibility criteria:

  • Age Limit: 18-33 years, with relaxation for certain categories, refer to official notification for more details.
  • Educational Qualification: Matriculation/10th and held a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) provided by NCVT or ITI.
  • Attempts Allowed: Unlimited till age limit exceeds.

Syllabus of RRB Group D Exam 2025

The RRB Group D 2025 syllabus covers the following subjects:

Stage 1 (Computer Based Test) CBT:

  • Mathematics

    Number System, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Age Calculations, Calendar and Clock, Pipes and Cisterns, Data Interpretation.

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning

    Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Classification, Statement-Argument, Statement-Assumption.

  • General Science

    Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences (up to Class 10 CBSE level).

  • General Awareness and Current Affairs

    Science and Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics, Governance, Current Events (National and International Importance).

Stage 2 (Physical Efficiency Test) PET:

Candidates who qualify in the CBT Stage 1 are called for PET which includes tasks such as lifting an and carrying weights, running, and other physical activities as per the job requirements.

Exam Pattern

The selection process of RRB Group D 2025 consists of three stages of examination. The detailed pattern in given below:

Stage 1 Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • General Awareness: 20 Questions
  • Mathematics: 25 Questions
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: 25 Questions
  • General Science: 30 Questions
  • Total: 100 Questions, 90 minutes
  • Negative marking: - 1/3 marks for every wrong answer

Stage 2 (Physical Efficiency Test) PET:

For males:

  • Should be able to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.
  • Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

For females:

  • Should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.
  • Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
